Zero-failure precision engineering for

HPHT oil and gas components

Precision engineering and CNC machining high-specification parts for the oil and gas sector

We manufacture parts able to survive in harsh subsea and offshore environments. Our subcontract machining processes are designed to eradicate component escapes and machine parts that deliver absolute structural integrity.

Using advanced digital CMM measuring alongside our integrated ERP and CRM system, M-CNC deliver a seamless manufacturing process of complex, HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) parts. Build-to-print manufacturing enables us to machine highly precise, safety-critical oil and gas components from CAD designs.

Oil and gas components we manufacture

At M-CNC, we precision engineer crucial components for upstream, midstream, and subsea operations, including:

  • Subsea valve bodies, gates, and seats
  • High-pressure fasteners, seals, and connectors
  • Manifolds and fluid-transfer flanges
  • Marine breakaway coupling components
  • Downhole logging and drilling tool bodies

Our capabilities

We house industry-leading 5-axis and 9-axis CNC machines with multi-tasking capabilities. This enables us to machine complex component geometries in a single setup, saving time and money on projects. Eliminating component handling between machines also reduces stack-up errors, ensuring peak precision on complex internal bores and sealing surfaces.

Our machining specs at a glance:
– Maximum turning diameter: 1m
– Positional accuracy: Within ±0.01 mm

Experts in machining dense, corrosion-resistant alloys

M-CNC are able to machine the tough, corrosion-resistant materials essential to HPHT components and subsea and offshore environments.
Our workshop uses specialised ceramic and carbide tooling geometries rated for hardened alloys to maintain edge integrity and prevent material work-hardening. With this we can accurately machine many tough metals, including:

  • Inconel 718 and 625: Nickel-based superalloys capable of maintaining high tensile strength up to 700°C.
  • Nitronic 60 (UNS S21800) and stainless 316: Premium, corrosion resistant stainless steel alloy with superior heat and wear resistance.
  • Super duplex and duplex stainless steels (UNS S32750, F51, and F55): Provide exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in caustic and high-salinity environments.
  • Hastelloy and Titanium Grade 5: High strength, corrosion-resistant materials designed for extreme environments.

Eradicating risk and NPT in subsea and offshore manufacturing

The huge cost of offshore component failure and the Non-Productive Time (NPT) it can cause is a massive risk to oil and gas projects. Our technical workflows act as active risk-reduction tools for our customers, built on three core pillars.

1. Absolute material traceability
Our integrated ERP system tracks finished parts back to the exact raw materials they are made from, accompanied by full paperwork and certification.
2. First Article Inspection (FAI)
Before full production begins, we use advanced Aberlink CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) to verify the first batch of parts to micron-level accuracy against their CAD design.
3. 24/7 lights-out machining
Our multi-axis, automated plant machinery enables continuous, lights-out machining. Real-time, in-machine probing eliminates tool deflection and ensures accurate component manufacture across 24/7 runs.

Why M-CNC engineering?

Placing your trust in M-CNC means every project benefits from:

  • Zero-failure integrity; we deliver safety-critical parts to industry leaders (e.g. Klaw Products).
  • FAI and full material traceability across every part.
  • In-machine probing enables geometric perfection on complex parts.
  • Lights-out production ensures we meet tight deadlines.

These materials require precise tooling and process control. M-CNC works closely with tooling specialists to ensure optimal tool selection and machining performance, delivering consistent quality across all components.
