This month, M-CNC are delighted to announce that we have gained JOSCAR and RISQS verification. We have also transferred from KIWA to BSI for our AS9100 Rev D certification. What does all this mean for M-CNC?
The importance of JOSCAR
The JOSCAR Registration Mark indicates that an organisation has gone through the processes required to demonstrate its commitment and credentials to the defence industry. It is recognised by some of the largest purchasers in the defence industry.
JOSCAR is important to gain for M-CNC as it opens further doors within the defence industry. Gaining this accreditation aligns with our strategic direction as an aerospace and defence supplier. Being registered with JOSCAR also gives defence customers the ability to see information on our company, and be assured we have the correct accreditation to manufacture the parts they need.
The importance of RISQS
RISQS verification is another important step for M-CNC. With this in place, we will be able to expand on our current customer base within the rail industry. The RISQS certification process requires businesses to provide financial information in order to offer suppliers reassurance about their company.
This will make M-CNC visible to future rail customers and gives them the ability see information on our company. RISQS verification reassures rail industry customers that we are a company that delivers reliably, ensures supply chain resilience, complies with risk assessments and industry regulations, and fulfils our contractual obligations. With this in place, rail industry customers will be assured we have the correct accreditation to manufacture parts for them.
The importance of AS9100 Rev D
Based on ISO 9001, the internationally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS), AS9100 Rev D is an aerospace standard (AS) released by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG).
M-CNC have completed our transfer audit for our AS9100 Rev D accreditation. This was completed by BSI, who will be our certification body moving forwards. We completed the audit with 0 NCRs (Non-Conformity Reports) which is a fantastic achievement for the M-CNC team.
Completing our transfer audit for AS9100 Rev D shows aerospace customers that our QMS are based on recognised principles and meet the requirements of the industry. It also puts M-CNC on the Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (OASIS), a searchable database that any company in the aerospace industry can use to find us.
