At the end of 2023, M-CNC Engineering were delighted to attain Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation. This certifies that, as a business, we fully comply with Cyber Essentials security guidelines.
What is Cyber Essentials Plus?
Cyber Essentials is a government backed scheme designed to help businesses protect themselves against cyber-attacks. It also reassures their customers and clients that this business take cyber security seriously, and will protect their data.
Cyber Essentials Plus takes this commitment to security a step further. To attain Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, M-CNC Engineering were audited by independent external assessors to confirm we are doing everything needed to meet Cyber Essentials guidelines.
How did we become Cyber Essentials Plus certified
During our Cyber Essentials Plus assessment, an assessor audited a sample of computers in our business, checking to ensure every device is configured to meet the security requirements outlined in the Cyber Essentials scheme.
These checks included a vulnerability scan, a test of our default internet browser, and more. As this audit is done, screenshots are taken to prove our business is Cyber Essentials compliant.
Once successfully certified, our business is added to a list of Cyber Essentials companies. The certification last for 12 months and will be renewed every year.

Gaining this accreditation gives us a clear picture of our business’s cyber security practices, and the reassurance that our systems and processes are robust and free of potential threats and dangers.

Earning Cyber Essentials Plus certification demonstrates that M-CNC Engineering isn’t simply talking about being secure as a business – we’re actively doing it. Cyber Essentials Plus joins M-CNCs AS9100 and ISO 9001 accreditations and new state-of-the-art MRP software system.
